Perhaps in part due the "racing stripe" along the side of its body, the Golden Mantled Ground Squirrel (Callospermophilus lateralis) is often mistaken for a chipmunk. But unlike the chipmunk, it has no stripe through its eye. Image taken in Waterton Lakes NP, Alberta, Canada.
